Our trainees Layla and Lucy are now ready to wash and blow dry, when available, for just £9.50. Book in with them and help them perfect their skills!! Fully trained staff at hand to supervise and advise.

Congratulations to our fantastic trainees and Saturday student. They all competed at the JO Academy Awards this year. They demonstrated fantastic skill, enthusiasm, dedication  and creativity with their designs. Well done Layla, Lucy and Lauren. Layla won the the NVQ level one award for the year with her amazing 'Twilight' design that actually featured LED lights woven into the hair of her model!

'L' Drivers no more - Our juniors added more skills to their portfolio's the very next morning when both Lucy Layla passed their driving tests. Well done to both of them.

We are delighted to welcome 2 new members to our ever growing team.

Senior Stylist, Tara Oakley recently joined us. Formerly from Norwich she returned here earlier this year.  A hugely experienced and committed hairdresser, Tara particulalry enjoys photo-shoots and has worked extensively with London photographer Cameron James Wilson. Tara is, at present, available for appointments on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We also welcome post-graduate stylist, Jade Twigg. Initially Jade will be available on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and maybe, even, Sundays. It's hoped she'll be at stylist level in by the end of the summer.

Kerry's left us for maternity leave with an armful of presents and flowers and loads of tears from us all.  We're due to have our first Hooloovoo baby in August and we're getting pretty excited about it. We really hope she'll come back to us - part-time at least - when she's ready.  But we expect to see her and her baby pretty regularly.  We're planning a baby shower nearer the time.

Both Becky and Mel went on Great Lengths hair extensions training  this year  and came  back  bubbling with enthusiasm and excitement  and are  already busy.  It's an exciting new service to offer our customers and there's is a good deal of interest from our clients.  If you'd like to know more, please ask for Kate, Becky or Mel to give you a free consultation and extensions advice.

Hooloovoo Events

Sarah Morgan, Image Consultant, recently came in and talked to us and special guests about how to make the best of ourselves through colour and clothes and our own stylists demonstrated how to use straighteners and put hair up for proms and special ocasions.  And Becky and Lucy showed us how to create flawless make-up.  It was really well attended and a very pleasant evening seemed to be had by all.

Our next Evening will be sometime later in the Summer and we're looking at how you can look good and feel great when you're over 55 (which I'll need to attend myself!).  Please contact  the salon or come to this website for further details nearer the time.  We'll keep you posted.

Bonfire party
